Healthy Gluten-Free Snacks to Eat on the Go
Life is hectic these days. We are expected to be available around the clock, and many people find themselves commuting further than ever. When you add in that some of us have kids, or other responsibilities outside of work, then it could seem like there just isn’t enough time to get everything done. This especially makes things difficult when it comes to eating healthy. Being gluten-free takes patience and dedication. It helps having some delicious stuff to eat when you need it quick. Next time you have a long day ahead of you, consider these healthy gluten-free snacks to eat on the go.
- Roasted Sunflower Seeds
Salty, and if seasoned properly, absolutely tasty, these can help to tide you over when you don’t have enough time to eat something else. You can eat them raw if you’d like, but we recommend putting them in the oven for 10 minutes or so. They are gluten-free, healthy, and incredibly easy to cook.
- Boiled eggs
Not only are hard-boiled eggs easy to make, they are also really healthy. When an egg is boiled, you get more protein and other nutrients out of it into your system. On top of that they are gluten-free and taste great when you add a bit of pepper or hot sauce to them.
- Berry fruit salad
Fruits and veggies are natural, delicious, and gluten-free. They are an extremely important aspect of a healthy diet. Prepare a fruit salad in the morning and take it with you to work. It is perfect for life on the go. The reason we recommend berries is because they don’t require any peeling or chopping. Just throw a bunch of strawberries and blueberries into a container, and get out the door!
Living the gluten-free lifestyle takes dedication, but that doesn’t mean it always has to be hard. These three foods are healthy gluten-free snacks that you can eat on the go. For more great recipes, check out our recipe section, and let us know which ones you like the most.
