Is turnip healthy?
Turnip is one of the top superfoods we often forget about. It has a rich nutritional value comprising of vitamins K, A, C, E, B1, B3, B5, B6, B2 and folate. When it comes to minerals turnip includes manganese, fiber, potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and copper.

What’s the difference between turnip and rutabaga?
They are both from the Brassica family. But turnips are Brassica rapa, and rutabagas are Brassica napobrassica. Turnips are harvested when they are still small, and rutabagas are harvested when they are large.
Some other differences are, rutabagas have a rough exterior, and the inside is yellow. Turnip is white, and when cooked, turnips turn almost a translucent white. Rutabaga stays a deep yellow colour.
The flavour is also different. Rutabagas are sweeter, and turnips have a more sharp taste. And they are both super healthy!
