Soft Bag IV Solution Production Line.jpg

Intravenous (IV) infusion is a method that uses the principle of atmospheric pressure and hydrostatic pressure to inject a large amount of sterile liquid, electrolytes, and drugs into the body through a vein.

Non-PVC soft bag IV solution production line can automatically finish film feeding, printing, bag making, IV solution filling and sealing in one machine.

Due to the difference between the injection site and the infusion, it can be divided into peripheral IV infusion, central IV infusion, high nutrient infusion (TPN) and blood transfusion.

IV therapy is a highly specialized technology. Its treatment level covers parenteral infusion, nutritional support, medication and infusion therapy. Looking back on its history, it began in the 17th century, but the great progress mainly occurred in the 20th century.

Main Advantage of IV Therapy

1. It is easy to bring the drug to the curative concentration, and can maintain the constant concentration required for the curative effect.

2. Drugs that stimulate muscles and subcutaneous tissues can be administered intravenously.

3. It can quickly replenish the fluid or blood lost by the body.

4. Infusion of intravenous nutrition.

Main Disadvantages of IV Therapy

1. Improper handling can easily cause systemic or local infections.

2. Too much drug or dripping too fast can easily cause adverse reactions and even life-threatening.

3. Continuous over-infusion may cause excessive circulation load or electrolyte imbalance.

4. The increase of iatrogenic diseases.

Why Is It Important for an Iv Solution to Have Salt in It?

When IV therapy is performed in the hospital, the medicine is not injected directly into the blood vessel, but first dissolved in saline or glucose solution. What is the reason? Various cells and body fluids in the human body have their own osmotic pressure. For example, infusion of human fluid into a blood vessel, when the osmotic pressure is low, the red blood cells can swell and hemolyze; when the osmotic pressure is high, the red blood cells will deform due to the outflow of water. Therefore, the IV solution must be isotonic with the human environment. The osmotic pressure of plasma is determined by electrolytes and small molecular substances. The osmotic pressure of saline and 5% glucose solution used for infusion is equal to the osmotic pressure of plasma, so it will not have any effect on cells and body solutions.

Why should 0.9% normal saline be used for the infusion base fluid? This involves the issue of osmotic pressure. Only a solution with an osmotic pressure similar to that of human plasma can be used as a base fluid for intravenous injection. Under normal circumstances, the osmotic concentration of normal human plasma is 303.7mmol/L. Clinically, as long as the osmotic concentration is in the range of 280mmol/L-320mmol/L, the solution is called isotonic solution. The osmotic pressures of plasma, gastric juice, pancreatic juice, intestinal juice, bile, spinal fluid, tears, etc. in the human body are roughly equal, and they are all isotonic solutions.

Soft Bag IV Solution Production Line

IV solution production line is designed for pharmaceutical use according to the GMP and FDA guidelines. It is designed for forming, filling and sealing soft bags, the non-pvc soft bag producing equipment is designed independently and manufactured according to the requirement of medicine research and development or small capacity. It is the best choice for the enterprise that plan to change IV solution packing material or enter plastic bag IV solution market.
